I am involved in two key projects aimed at fostering science education and research in Africa

TReND in Africa

As a member of TReND in Africa, I organise workshops and seminars to promote alternative models and openness in neuroscience in Africa (More about TReND).

BioRTC

With the support of the Yobe State Government, Yobe State University, TReND and many partners worldwide, in August 2021, I established the Biomedical Science Research and Training Centre (BioRTC) at Yobe State University, Nigeria. The centre aims to provide advanced infrastructure for biomedical research and training of African scientists while also offering access to diverse African human samples and animal models.
