To foster science education and research, I am involved in multiple science communication projects in Africa and the UK.

Science Communication in the UK

Since 2014, I regularly participate and organise¬†outreach activities at science festivals and open days through the Serpell Laboratory, Sussex Dementia Research Group and Alzheimer’s Research UK South Coast Network. For new activities, follow me (@mahmoudbukar) or the Serpell Lab (@SerpellLab)

TReND Outreach Programme

I founded the Outreach Programme of TReND and currently serve as the Outreach Coordinator through which I lead a team of over 100 scientists across Africa to communicate science and inspire the next generation of African scientists.
